![]() ![]() THAT guy was thinking he was going to sell to me, 800#. Everyone I ask is selling mattresses, but not to me. I can't believe how frustrating this has become. I could hold onto this for a couple of months but then I'd have to pay for a new mattress and store this one until I knew the new one would work and then try to sell this one on Marketplace. Plus: being treated like I am a learning disabled 5 year old didn't help. I think they'd rather trash a mattress and give me an exchange than give me 45 more days and that makes NO SENSE TO ME AT ALL. I'd LOVE to give it a few weeks but Raymour & Flanigan so far has refused me an extension EVEN THOUGH the regional manager where I am (northeast) offered to fully refund someone (there was a newspaper report of this) because she didn't "know" there was foam in her mattress! My trial period is up at 45 days. I was told by several people that if you have to use a topper you have the wrong mattress. ![]() So it feels "medium"? That won't work for me. Until retailers demand a simpler system of choice or begin doing a better job screening the products they sell and represent them honestly (ha ha ha) I don't think it's going to remain a lucrative business.Ĭassat PT ultra soft? It's Tempur tech but not Tempur foam. So I think because of this, there are many returns and exchanges but the manufacturers don't suffer, the retailers do. And the mattress industry is making it virtually impossible to choose. Not everyone likes memory foam TP is top of the line, that's a fact not a fake statement if you can't sleep on it, then it's the wrong choice for you. I'm going to exchange for a Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Cassat Pillowtop Plush, most likely, and that will cost more (possibly, not sure). Even the new Kingsdown stopped hurting at week five I got rid of it because the only place I was comfortable was the spot in the middle where I slept and/or sat and it would have taken months to break in the entire thing, plus there was a tufted spot with WIRE that broke through the mattress cover and sheet and poked me in the back. Then I've had mattress professionals tell me if I am still in pain after 42 days, the mattress has to go. They've said it takes "months" to break in a TP. But they don't off to reimburse me the $3500 I paid for mattress/base/frame and I'm passing exchange date on Tuesday. I've had mattress professionals tell me this is the best mattress for me, my age, etc. Also, as I sleep on it, it softens and I think it loses support, putting pressure on shoulders and hips now, then it springs back to original form (my theory, no scientific testing involved). I think the problem is: this is a very dense mattress, I am 118 pounds and very petite, "breaking in" isn't working (could take months and then I pass the exchange date). I'm one of those people who can't sleep on memory foam. My arms are out of joint (I have to see my PT/chiropractor now!), my lower and mid-back muscles were affected, now it's soft tissue in both hips and sore ribs (ligaments, tendons, no bone involvement). I've slept on it 42 nights and every night I wake in pain somewhere new. I have a TP Pro Adapt Soft replacing a Kingsdown Meritage I purchased because my original Kingsdown began to kill me. ![]() I would love to wake up with energy and well rested.īring it on: your good bad and ugly about Tempurs or this specific model Get out of bed with sore joints every morning like I’m 50 years old……. Im 145 lbs, a side sleeper( but somehow wake up on my back) sleep warm, lower back pain/issues, neck and base of skull always feels tight. ![]() He’s 250 lbs, a back sleeper, snores a little and has restless leg Are we going to join the cult or hate it?Ĭoming from regular mattress but decent brand/quality $2.5k bought 5 years ago and have never slept on foam What is everyone thoughts on them? HONEST reviews please. But spending $6k this time around is ok?!!! Ha Last year we bought the luxe breeze but before delivery we chickened out ($7k for the bed and base, we need our heads examined). Like others we need a new mattress and researched the heck out of everything, spent hours at store on different mattresses and bit the bullet on the Tempur Pro Adapt medium hybrid. ![]()
